T. E. Marts
Cozy Fantasy and Noir Mystery
T. E. Marts is an American writer known for blending folklore, grit, and poetic minimalism. A North Carolinian by way of New England, Marts brings a weathered sensibility to his work-equal parts rustbelt realism and Appalachian myth. Before turning to writing full-time, he worked as an electrician, a night shift operator, and once, briefly, as a groundskeeper at a cemetery, all of which quietly inform the haunted tone of his stories.
Though T. E. Marts avoids the spotlight, but occasionally appears at small festivals or folklore symposiums, usually reading from a notebook worn thin at the edges. He currently lives with his wife of four decades and a rescue dog named Cat in a small town in North Carolina. He prefers pen and paper, black coffee, and stories that don't flinch.
